I come from a small city but my dreams are pretty big and I guess when you’ve got dreams of running the world in style, you’ve got to dress the part, too.

I love how they have so many things to choose from like wigs, winter wear, bikinis and everyday items that I can keep in my closet for a very long time. Uniqlo has FINALLY opened it’s doors to the Cebuano’s with their first branch in SM Northwing to be followed later on this year by their second branch at the SM City Seaside. A Lazy Girl’s Guide to Halloween Dressing

Halloween is just around the corner and just in case you’re reading this 2 hours before deciding to actually go out on Halloween this year and there’s not enough time to decide what to wear then you’re welcome!

I absolutely LOVE Halloween especially because it’s a couple of days before my birthday so I’ve been throwing costume parties ever since I can remember! This year I decided to tick my costume ideas post a little earlier so I can go ahead and concentrate on other things that are soon to grace this wonderful website. #progress

So here are my “lazy” costume ideas for this year’s Halloween festivities…

Continue to celebrate this year’s NBA champions by showing off your love for this awesome team. Or, if you’re a fan of any other basketball team then throw on a jersey and show off your team spirit! Generally, all you need is the necessary merchandise and a glow ball to complete your look. It’s simple, easy AND you have an excuse to wear sneakers the entire night!

I got this costume from my little sister who decided to go as Kanye West during one of her costume parties. It’s a good reason to wear an all black ensemble and it’s pretty funny to carry a crying Kim Kardashian with you everywhere you go. Plus points if you can find someone willing to be your very own Kim K. for the night. Costume idea here.

Lastly, you can also opt to go as Lilo from Lilo and Stitch. Honestly, I could have done better on the sewing job but this is “a lazy girl’s guide to Halloween dressing” so props to me for even trying!

I’m not as much as a traveler as I would have wanted although I do intend to fix this problem very soon. Hong Kong, being one of the first places I’ve been to other than the States and some parts of the Philippines, was a bit hard to dress for. The reason why I am only posting 1 ootd out of the 4 days that I was there is because I spent those days walking around in shorts, a shirt and sneakers or slippers.

I really underestimated people when they said that we’d be doing a lot of walking so if you haven’t been to Hong Kong yet and you’re planning to, make sure to pack your most durable and comfortable shoes and make sure to wear socks!

Not a lot of advice (yet) when it comes to what to wear or what to pack because we all know that I am not a pro. However, if I were to impart you with any bit of knowledge, I do make sure to bring the following every time I travel, even if it’s just to Manila:

1. Nipple patches (because no countries wants to see your bra straps)

2. A jacket/ scarf

3. Sneakers

4. A hat that does not take up so much space

5. Hollywood tape

This Golden State

Ok HONESTLY, I wish I actually had the time to just lounge around, play some good old NBA 2K15 (or Watchdogs or Second Son or Diablo- the list goes on…) but I don’t.

Fortunately, I do have enough time to make a quick tribute to my home team, The Golden State Warriors who by the by, just won the NBA 2015 finals after 40 years! Also, to all the Filipinos who have made California their homes, this one’s for you!

I think that it is also important for everyone to know that I have been madly in love with Stephen Curry for the past year. But more than my love for him, I think that he stands as a true role model for anyone who has been told that they couldn’t do this or that they weren’t “enough”.

A good friend of mine shared this article with me this morning and to anyone who’s ever been told that they were too short, too dark, that they didn’t fit in with the standards of typical beauty or any type of judgement- they only win if you let them.

We can be whoever we want to be and millions of people, not just Steph Curry, have proven it. There are so many inspirational people and quotes out there to get us through adversities and God bless each and every one of them but what good are all these things if it doesn’t start with you?

So glad to know that my future baby daddy is talented, empowering and not to mention; drop dead gorgeous!

Although I no longer work at an office that requires a dress code, I still enjoy dressing up for the occasional meetings with clients- cue, pretty dresses; blazers or work pants over a cute blazer.

Today I’m wearing this cute box dress from Let’s Stylize that allows me to be fun, professional and young. I think that’s what’s really important when dressing appropriately while in our youth- you have to dress your age while still injecting some kick ass-ness in your looks.

Be Gentle

You never know how a photograph turns out. When Jing and I were shooting these set of photos, I initially went towards a laid back; easy breezy theme in my head and then BAM! I find myself looking like some risque bombshell waiting to jump on you or you to jump on me. (whichever works, really. HAHA) But you know, I’m not even mad. If anything, I’m impressed and also, completely dependent on Jing now. He really knows how to make a girl look good. :)))

Life lately has been really hectic with work, meetings, blogging and trying to maintain a personal life with all my weird hobbies and interests. As of today, I am now a proud owner of my very own top of the line camera and I can not wait to turn this blog up another notch.

So tonight, I leave you with this:

Always follow your dreams, no matter how big or small they are.

My dream was to write and make something out of myself in the world of fashion no matter how big or small and although I’m not quite there yet, I am still somewhere and that is definitely better than being nowhere. When you’re doing the things you love, there is no place for hatred; jealousy or resentment but only contentment and gratitude. It is easier to be happy for others and to share your happiness, as well. So there.

Perfect Summers with Coke

I’ve finally found the secret to having the perfect summer: good friends, the perfect beach weather and a bottle of Coca Cola- chilled to perfection!

With the Coca Cola tumbler, it’s easy to get that #sarapngfirst feeling with every gulp of your favorite year round refreshment!

And although I’m not at the beach in this shoot, I still feel more than refreshed from the summer’s heat. I’m trying to rock the biker chic/ i-just-want-to-spend-the-whole-day-blogging-in-a-tiny-nook look.. what do you think?
