When it’s hot outside but I still want to have look chic and have a good fall back for the evening ahead, I know I can always rely on a trusty blazer. It’s not a secret, blazers are a must have in every man and woman’s closet and today I decided to take mine out for a spin.

With the insane weather, I know it sounds a bit insane to be sporting a blazer which is why I keep it off for most of the day and put it on when I’m indoors like while watching a movie which is what is on today’s agenda.

Also, I would like to thank my brother and sister for not being home today and allowing me to raid their closets because I was sick of all my clothes. You’re the real MVP’s. Don’t kill me when I get home.

As Bright As The Sun with Let’s Stylize and Havaianas

When I’m not basking under the summer sun, you’ll be sure to find me in Let’s Stylize’s new summer collection of kimonos and cover ups. I love cover ups and I find them super handy especially when you want to walk around but you don’t want to commit to wetting your towel or your change of clothes just yet.

I have a couple of these bad boys which I will be recycling throughout the summer and if you don’t have your own, I suggest your get one before it’s too late.

I find chiffon cover ups to be my favorite so far because they are light weight and dry up easily so I don’t worry about it getting too heavy from absorbing water off from my body. Other than that, cotton cover ups and kimonos aren’t that bad either.

Bikini Talk

I’ve always had a fascination for bandeau bikini tops because they look so easy to wear and they don’t leave you with a weird tan line that you have to explain again and again to your friends. Being on the petite but bustier side, finding the right bandeau top has always been quite of a challenge that I’ve had to face. Also, if you do your research, you will discover that bandeau’s aren’t made for my body type and function better on smaller chested women.

But I have learned a thing or two in my search for the perfect bandeau top and I’ve realized that the tube types that come with straps are my favorite kinds so far. With bikini tops like this, I do not have to keep pulling them up while I’m swimming and they don’t expose any boobage that I don’t want anyone to see. However, when I do plan to do more activities while in a bikini, you will definitely find me in a halter top.

Like any piece of clothing, swim suits are definitely one of the top things you should invest in along with your unmentionables especially because swim suits are your lingerie that everyone can see so you want to make sure that you keep what should be hidden… hidden.
Opt for spandex or neoprene pieces that don’t get ruined easily and are easy to maintain and make sure to run them through water after you take a dip. This prevents bleeding of any colors that might be on your bikini thus making it last a lot longer.

Fit your bikinis before you buy them and make sure you can move around in them with ease- try sitting, raising your arms up and probably bending over to get that good range of protection. Opt for protection first and design second. What use is a cute bikini when you’ll get covering yourself half the time?
Try bikinis that you can mix and match. One of the best things I’ve ever gotten were black bikini bottoms because I can pair them with anything! I’m a medium on top and a small on the bottom so this also helps me when dealing with mismatched sizes.

Be confident in your bikini of choice. Own it, rock it. BAHALA NA ANG BILBIL!

[VLOG] Get Ready With Me!

Make up has been a part of my life ever since I stepped in college. Other than a requirement, it later on became something that I enjoyed doing and experimenting with.

I try to change my make up routine every once in a while in regards to the weather or the occasion but most of the time, I stick to this routine while experimenting with different products as well.

Online Stores Made Accessible with Emporium Cebu

As much as I love online shopping, I admit I often have my reservations. Being petite, I’ve always had difficulties with sizes whether it comes to clothes and shoes which is why I haven’t been as adventurous with my online purchases as I would have wanted. Being a fashion blogger requires me to venture out and try different brands online and offline and truthfully, shopping is always a whole lot better when you can actually see and feel your purchases.

Emporium allows me to do just that- shop at online brands offline.

With various brands from both Manila and Cebu, Emporium caters to different brands of different styles and products allowing you to check out on hand items for you to add to your personal collection.

I personally find this option very helpful especially for my future online purchases because it gives me a better idea of sizes for days when I want to buy items online. A good example of my experience is when it comes to shoes. I hardly buy shoes from online stores because I am a size 5 and I’ve always had a hard time finding online stores that offered footwear that actually fit. Because of Emporium, I was able to try on Tiny Ensembles products and was relieved to discover that their products cater to my size and I happily went home with my very own pair of lace up flats- FINALLY!

Other than that, I was also very happy to find other Manila brands there such as Miss Bella Ph; Shnukum Manila; The Grid Ph; Verano; Tutum and my favorite, Let’s Stlyize!

Coffee Sessions @ 32 Umber

I am no coffee expert but I do enjoy a nice strong cup of Joe especially when the day calls for one. That day being everyday.

32 Umber had been on my go to list ever since it opened some time by the end of February. I fell in love with their Instagram posts of coffee (with great reviews!), pastries and beautiful interiors which we all know I am a sucker for so naturally, I had to check it out for myself.

32 Umber is a bit small and is probably good for about 20 people at a time but with its glass enclosures, it definitely does not feel cramped. Regardless of size, their furniture is cozy and the whole place is homey, inviting and will make you want to camp there for hours at a time whether you wish to study, work or just catch up with old friends.

32 Umber sets themselves aside from other local coffee shops in the metro with their hand- brewed coffee which is also known as pourover coffee. This method of brewing involves fresh grounded coffee beans, a filter and a filter holder. At its most basic level, the brewing level involves pouring water over and through the grounds of coffee to extract the flavors into your cups for drinking. At 32 Umber, you get to choose between 2 brewing methods which are V60 or an Aeropress. I have yet to taste it but I do look forward to coming back very soon and trying it out for myself!

Bikinis Out!

Based on the amount of sweat that has been coming out of my body the past few weeks, I think it is safe to say that it is finally summer!

And unlike last year, I will be on time with my summer and bikini photos since I will be able to celebrate it on Philippine time. So yey for all the beach trips I can’t wait to go on and all the bikinis I am so excited to wear!

For our first trip, a group of friends and I went boating while others went diving a little off the island of Mactan. I love diving and I definitely would have gone had it not been for this insanely huge purchase I recently made that has left me broke. Boo but it was totallyyy worth it. So instead, I decided to enjoy the sunshine while Paolo painstakingly took my photos. #instagramhusband.not

[VLOG] Trekking To Sirao Peak, Cebu

If you didn’t know, it is open to the public again but PLEASE be mindful of your actions when you go. It’s a tourist attraction, yes, but Cebu is our home so it is our responsibility to take care of it!

Seaside Sessions with Jiri Dinsay

The more I surround myself with different photographers, the more I am able to appreciate the art and the process of taking beautiful photos. Sometimes it is done under intense heat, smells with kanya- kanyang diskarte which all pays off when we are able to see the output of our hard work.

I shot with Jiri Dinsay for this set who was as easy and breezy as the seaside winds that graced us that morning. Definitely someone I would love to be able to work with again and again and again!
