My Morning Skin Care Routine (Korean/ Asian Inspired) ft. Vinfusion For Kyani Fleuresse Serum

I’ve always heard that prevention is better than cure and I’ve tried to practice this concept whether it comes to my health, skin care and whatever else I can apply it to in my day to day life.

Lately, skin care has been an in thing in the beauty industry and to be honest with all of you, I ABSO-FREAKIN-LOUTELY love it! But when the whole influx of beauty products came to show, I found myself constantly asking, “where do I start?”. It took me a while guys, but apparently, old dogs can be taught new tricks so now I’m at least 75% sure about what I’m talking about and I’m here to teach…

So here’s a breakdown of how I go about my MORNING skin care routine and here’s to hoping that you can apply it in your day to day lives:

STEP 1: CLEANSE

What I use: CLEAN & CLEAR Essentials Foaming Facial Cleanser

STEP 2: EXFOLIATE

What I use: Silicone Face Brush from Emporium

STEP 2: TONE

What I use: Yves Rocher Micellar Water

STEP 3: SERUM/ BOOSTERS/ AMPOULES

What I use: Kyani Fleuresse Serum from Vinfusion

Fleuresse Serum is a light serum that incorporate extracts from Swiss apple stem cells. Swiss apples called Uttwiler Spätlauber has been discovered to stay fresh longer than any other variety and naturally occurring botanicals, which have been incorporated into this serum protect the skin from oxidative stress, inflammation and also reverse side effect of photoaging.

STEP 4: EYE CREAM

What I use: La Prairie Swiss Ice Crystal Eye Cream

STEP 5: EMULSION

What I use: La Prairie Swiss Ice Crystal Emulsion

STEP 5: MOISTURIZE

What I use: Innisfree Moisturizer

STEP 6: DAY CREAM

What I use: Pond’s Age Mircale Day Cream

I’m planning to do a more in depth post about the benefits of all these products in a future post along with my night skin routine which is a few steps more than this.

Lemme know if you guys are excited to find out about that!

In the meantime, find out more about Kyani and their products here.

What You Need To Know About Matcha ft. Matcha Garden, Cebu

For anyone who wanted to know,  Matcha is finely ground powder of specially grown and processed green tea. It’s popular in China and Japan and over the course of time, has been slowly been making it’s way into mainstream products such as matcha KitKats, Oreos, Pocky, ice cream, drinks and what ever else you can think of!

Interesting looks and flavors aside, Matcha is supposedly very beneficial to ones health and is an even more potent source of nutrients as compared to steeped green tea. It is also said that matcha is rich in antioxidants that have been tied to the protection of heart disease, cancer, regulation of blood sugar and anti- aging. There’s also caffeine in it so you could say that it could be a better alternative to coffee.

With all its health benefits, it’s no surprise that people have been getting into the matcha craze only problem is, it’s not as easy to get your hands on as one would think.

Enter, Matcha Garden.

Matcha Garden is an online shop that frequents Japanese themed and Cosplay pop up events over the metro. They offer interesting snacks and drinks that are all incorporated with Matcha such as cookies, bites, churros, teas, lattes and more!

I am so incredibly tormented by the thoughts that I have when I am not controlling them. The dreams I have trouble waking up from. That constant nagging fear and obsession with trying to figure out why they are what they are and where they’re coming from.

I am afraid to close my eyes. I am suddenly so afraid of a million things and I don’t know where they are coming from.

Styling Cropped Off Shoulders

Happy Monday to my favorite people on the planet!

I am yet again wearing pieces from my most recent department store haul, hoping to prove that you don’t need to wear expensive clothes to look good and hoping that I get my message across to all of you! :p

I am currently getting ready to meet a few of you guys for a sit down coffee session with a few giveaway winners and I am so siked about it and at the same time, I won’t lie, I’m still feeling pretty gassy from last week. Probably wasn’t a good idea to go out in a crop top, eh?

Fashion-wise (in case you’re actually here for that), when sporting anything stomach bearing especially when my body isn’t particularly ready for it, I opt for high waist anythings to hide the bulge. It doesn’t make it disappear completely but it’s a pretty useful attempt to spare my dignity. Hope this look inspires you!

Choker: Forever21| Top & Pants: Gaisano Grand

Any looks you guys want me to try out?

How To Style An Off Shoulder Top & Wide Legged Pants

Never in a million years would I ever imagine myself slipping into what I can only call disco pants from my grand mother’s closet but I always forget to never say never and well, when you’ve binged watched Girl Boss in a span of 2 days, certain things grow on you.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned about dressing up and giving countless workshops about fashion, it’s that when you’re picking out an outfit, you want to create a good shape, an hour glass, if you may- which is what I tried to create in this look. Take note: Wide shoulders, tight waist, wide bottoms.

I find myself having a love- hate relationship with anything ruffled because 1. I hate the thought of strapless bras & 2. ruffles make my ta-ta’s look noticeably bigger than they somewhat are. I don’t like drawing attention to my baby feeders but ruffled tops seem to do just that. However, with the slow and steady uproar of tops like this, I found myself succumbing to trends and now I have not just 1 but 4 ruffled off shoulder tops. God, help me!

So here I am trying to make use of my unjustifiable expenses:

Shades: Executive Optical| Earrings: Forever21| Top & Pants: Gaisano Grand| Heels: H&M

Shoot with: Canon 800D (d’ya read that? I GOT A NEW CAM!)

How would you style an off shoulder top?

xx,

Issa P.
