Wearing Swim Wear As Casual Wear ft. Wacoal

In a previous workshop I gave with young teenage girls, I vowed to never wear this piece ever again simply because of the fact that I don’t like bringing that kind of attention to my “boobular” area. It’s not a word, I know but it’s fun to say so I’ll say it anyways. As a one piece bathing suit, I absolutely die from the stress of a possible mishap but as outer wear, it’s really not bad.

Am I comfortable in my skin? Not all the time, no but there are definitely some trends that I want to try out just for the sake of being adventurous. Luckily, I don’t have worry about unwanted  spillage in this skin tone bandeau bra that I got from Wacoal.

There are a lot of reasons why every woman should own a bandeau bra whether it be in black or nude but for this post, let’s focus on the obvious- it keeps everything in place with the subtly to help you pull off any outfit. Yes ladies, you CAN wear a skin bearing outfit without revealing too much!

I already own two shades of this bra style and I use it all the time especially when I want to avoid creases on fabrics that are often brought about by lacy materials or triangle bras and since none of my shirts call for neither bras, you can count on the fact that I overuse my bandeau’s. TMI? No! There’s never a good time to talk about our body’s and the right kind of under wear.

[VLOG] How To Style Velvet

Truth be told, I never knew I would love velvet so much til I put it on my body. 😛

Also, I’m really starting to enjoy these styling videos especially when I have the help of brands like Emporium to help out with the clothes selection.

There’s a certain challenge to creating videos like these especially when you don’t necessarily have the $$$ to collate all the looks you want in just one go so I find that partnering with brands that I trust is my best option.

What should I style next?

Korean Beauty Brands, Baby Products & More! ft. KPop Beauty & Melange at The Concept Cove

If I had to point out a growing trend in Cebu, it would most likely have to be concept everythings (food, restaurants, stores) and Korean/ Japanese make up and beauty products. The latter has been so sought after that I recently shared my daily morning skin care routine which is heavily influenced by Korean skincare practices.

Recently a couple concept stores such as Concept Cove have been opening around the city, offering shoppers with more affordable shopping alternatives whether it be in terms of clothes, make up and accessories. Although this store in particular carries a very select number of brands, each rack and shelf has been carefully selected and placed in order to cater to every man/ woman’s needs.

During my visit, I checked out one very special rack, Melange which carries an assortment of baby products, travel essentials and beauty products from KPop Beauty. Check it out:

Here are a few of the items that I got to bring home to check out and review:

Drawstring bag,  3 in 1 travel pouches and passport holder

Happy Nappy Baby Cloth Diaper

Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Pact

COW Beauty Soap (for whitening & moisturizing)

Assorted face packs

Truthfully this entry will not have as much output as usual as I still need some time to try out these products and create my own, honest opinions about each of them. I haven’t gotten around to starting it yet but I promise, once I’m done, you will know. Perhaps we could do a night time skin routine? :>

Find anything you like or want to try out? Make sure to follow Melange and KPop Beauty to check out more of their products, prices and offers!

#ATEfied Kimono Wrap Top

And that, my friends, is as creative as I’m going to get in the title making business. Please don’t leave me.

In a previous post I told you guys about Altered To Enhance clothing and now I’d like to show you guys how I wore my favorite piece to date (not just from ATE but everrr).

Wrap tops are not my favorite which is a dumb thing to say given the fact that I’ve never owned any in my entire life but the concept of it just seems like a lot of work. I never liked the thought of any garment cupping my boobs which is basically why I stayed as far away from it as possible but when I saw this top on the racks of ATE’s newest boutique at The Axis, I just couldn’t resist.

There was just something about the structure and flowyness (not a real word) of this top that called out to me compelling me to even bother to put it on my body. Sometimes I’m a little bit more judgmental of clothing and will not even bother to put a piece on if I feel the slightest bit of uncertainty. Having to take your shirt off is A LOT of work. But I’m glad I did which should tell me to follow my own advice once in a while. TRY ON CLOTHES.

Everything about this top was perfect- the billowy sleeves, the subtle fall of the neckline that says, “I’m here… but am I, really?” and the faint kiss of blue that yes, matches my hair. But that’s a completely different story.

My culottes are also from ATE which  perfectly matches my top but you can already see that.

Where would I have to go to wear this outfit? Someone please invite me out so I can wear this outfit somewhere!

Thanks, ATE. All my love!

Altered To Enhance Clothing (ATE) by Tatah Costales Now Open At The Axis

Every piece of clothing has it’s own story whether from the way it was made, how it was worn or when you wore it. What makes a piece even more special is when it was made to cater and enhance the best parts of your body which is what Altered To Enhance (ATE) has successfully been doing for thousands of Cebuanas.

With clothes-filled racks, you’d think at first that ATE is an off the rack establishment but as you steer your attention around the room, you will find yourself looking at cones of thread, fabric and buzzing sewing machines which is really where all the magic happens! A.T.E.’s high point is their customized or as the name states, altered to enhance services which basically allows you to choose a style that they currently offer, pick out your own fabric and have it fitted properly on your body so you no longer have to worry about loose fitting clothes and even paying extra as it all done within the confines of ATE’s cozy interiors.

ATE first opened their doors a few years ago somewhere along Mabolo and needless to say, every Cebuana just had to their hands on an #atefied piece. It also helps a lot that Cebu’s favorite Ate, Tatah Costales and her team have always been very hands on in assisting their customers making every piece you leave with even more special.

Recently, ATE opened their 2nd branch, located at the second floor of The Axis now making themselves more accessible to us southern Cebuanos and it’s been the best thing ever! Here’s a little sneak peek for anyone who is interested in dropping by:

ATE is my go to place for wedding outfits, formal dress up parties and chic ensembles. Their prices range from P450.00- P1,250.00 depending on the design.

To find out more about them, their designs and operating hours, follow them on Facebook and Instagram.

I can’t wait to show you my personal pieces from their collection (soon nalang because #backlogs)

Styling Cropped Off Shoulders

Happy Monday to my favorite people on the planet!

I am yet again wearing pieces from my most recent department store haul, hoping to prove that you don’t need to wear expensive clothes to look good and hoping that I get my message across to all of you! :p

I am currently getting ready to meet a few of you guys for a sit down coffee session with a few giveaway winners and I am so siked about it and at the same time, I won’t lie, I’m still feeling pretty gassy from last week. Probably wasn’t a good idea to go out in a crop top, eh?

Fashion-wise (in case you’re actually here for that), when sporting anything stomach bearing especially when my body isn’t particularly ready for it, I opt for high waist anythings to hide the bulge. It doesn’t make it disappear completely but it’s a pretty useful attempt to spare my dignity. Hope this look inspires you!

Choker: Forever21| Top & Pants: Gaisano Grand

Any looks you guys want me to try out?
