I hate it when Paolo raves about something I cannot relate to, one concrete example being his love for Banapple. To his memory, it was a mom & pop restocafe across Ateneo that he and his friends would frequent which catered sinfully good cakes and breakfast meals (P’s favorite of the offerings).
Fortunately for me, his love for Banapple is now something that I can enjoy and share with him as they HAVE FINALLY LANDED IN CEBU!
A mini pop- up offering the best of the best of Banapple is now located at the 3rd floor of Ayala Center Cebu (in between Rai-Rai Ken & Dessert Factory). For now, they are currently offering pasties, pies and an assortment of desserts but make sure to check my site occasionally for more updates!
I haven’t had all their offerings yet but I was able to indulge in their famous banoffee pie and lemme-tell-you, it was so good, I almost licked the container dry. The cream was so good, fluffy and heavy; it was almost hard to believe that a slice of it only cost P130.00. Not to mention the mixture of the coffee crust, bananas and chocolate in between. You don’t’ need to love sweets in order to appreciate this pie. Trust me.

Find out more about them on their official website, Facebook & Instagram page!
See you there,
Issa P.
I am finally coming to a close with our Taipei adventures and I would like to do so with a simple run through of the outfits I was able to document while we were there.
I tried to be as versatile with my outfits as I could, considering that we weren’t quite sure of how the weather would be while visiting. The forecasts said it would be sunny and rainy so that kind of left me in a pickle. Nevertheless, I made it out alive and with ootds to spare.
Enjoy!

Beret: Cotton On| Tshirt: fashion bazaar| Metallic pleated skirt: H&M| Fishnet socks: Forever21| Sneakers: Vans

Backpacks: Pop District Bazaar

Body suit & trousers: Forever 21/ pants| Glasses: Raohe Night Market

Top & Cover Up: Metro Department Store| Shorts: Uniqlo| Shades: Rayban

Top: Metro Department Store| Trousers: Vero Moda

Top: GU| Jogging pants: Adidas
1. Create your itinerary BEFORE packing
2. Do NOT pack cheap sneakers.
I made the mistake of packing P250.00 department store sneakers because they matched my outfits more than walking shoes did. BIG MISTAKE. Comfort over style lagi.
3. If the weather is iffy (jumping between sunny & rain showers), just be safe and pack a light sweater or cover up.
4. You may think a plastic poncho is cute but it’s hot in there.
5. Don’t under pack thinking “I’ll buy something there”. Instead pack around 2 extra outfits.
I initially thought I would under pack so I had a reason to shop but the outfits you wear when travelling and when you get home are completely different so I wouldn’t suggest it. I did end up wearing a shirt I bought at GU but that’s only because I wanted to match the graffiti wall outside our building. Other than that, I bought clothes that I wanted to wear to events and not something I most likely wouldn’t wear when I got home.
What are your dressing/ packing tips when on vacay?
x,
Issa P.
p.s. We head out to MATI on Saturday!
It’s that time of the year again where our favorite shopping places are slowly filling up with people in preparation for one of the most festive times of the year, Christmas. With all that Christmas shopping that about to go on, I’ve developed the habit of saving myself time and money by simply doing my shopping online. Mid to late October is the perfect time to get a head start on your shopping so you don’t end up spending all your money in one piece and you don’t have to worry about the delivery time.
And while there are a ton of E-commerce websites out there, sometimes it’s nice to step out of the ordinary and get your loved ones something that will leave a lasting impression. If you’re looking for personalized gifts, baby gifts, wedding gifts and even gifts for men, GiftsLessOrdinary might just be the perfect place for you!
The hardest one’s to shop for, in my opinion, are babies and boys- mostly because they either don’t want anything or cost a fortune to shop for (which is probably why I never get Paolo anything. lol). I took it upon me to try and find the best gifts for these two categories and I was pleasantly surprised to find a handful of good pieces which made me wonder why I had never thought about these items before.
See for yourself:
Personalized posters for girls & boys
Personalized cuff link tray & watch stand
To be honest, the prices are a little bit on the higher end of the spectrum but then again, you can’t put a price on love! Also, considering that these items are customized, there’s a little bit more love put into it so I wouldn’t mind that much.
What are your thoughts about personalized gifts and what are your favorite items from Gifts Less Ordinary?
xx,
Issa P.

I expressed my love for the resurfacing 90’s trend in several previous posts and the fandom just isn’t dying any time soon! Can this trend just never die? I know most people my age hate it but surprisingly, I have no problems dressing younger than I actually am. lol.
My good friend was celebrating her birthday with a 90’s theme and I couldn’t pass of the opportunity to dress up as Sporty Spice. Kids, if you don’t know who she is… GOOGLE is your best friend! You are welcome. To be honest, Mel B wasn’t particularly my favorite Spice Girl but I always affiliated myself with her the most and let’s be real, when was I ever the girly type?
Heads up, I am currently stocking up on mesh pieces because I want to do a styling video so once I get all the quirks fixed, you’ll catch it on this blog!

Mesh top- Forever 21| Sports Bra- Old Navy| Track pants – Adidas| Sneakers- Vans| Aviator glasses- Forever 21

Also, I have 2 hair colors in this post. WOWZA!
Girl Power,
Issaplease
I don’t understand this season’s obsession with crotches and long arm holes- I FUCKING HATE IT! And yet I was dumb enough to try the trend out anyways. I really am a schmuck. But curiosity got the best of me and I succumbed to the trend for the heck of it. So ladies and gents, if you’ve never seen it (in which you haven’t), here is my crotch in all it’s glory. I don’t know why anyone would possibly want to see it but I’m showing it to you anyways! ?
So my family and I took a trip to Costabella and then Cebu Yacht club for dinner which was when I decided to take my scandalous one piece suit out. Now, I don’t know if it’s a body issue thing or a personal space issue, but wearing this particular piece made me feel more naked than actually being naked so it’s a no go for me.
Here are some reasons why I disliked- hated this piece:
1. It showed off my nipples – there was sufficient amount of blurring of certain areas because this suit came with no paddings. Don’t get me wrong, the fabric was a beautiful corduroy-esque stretchy material but god, if I wanted people to see my nipples, I would never have bothered to invest in padded bras.
2. It covered very little of my frontal area – well obviously, as it is a crotchless bathing suit, but that’s the risk I took when I bought the damn thing.
3. It covered very little of my back area – “Do you want to see the moon? Well, you’re gonna!”
4. You need to get a wax before wearing this piece.
I can easily see how this piece could be an empowering article of clothing that every woman could need in their life and I’m all about that… just not on me. Maybe I’m a little old fashioned and I like keeping whatever ought to be hidden, hidden and well, if I wanted to be naked, I should have just done it right away.
So why did I buy this suit anyways if I knew I was gonna hate it? Because you can’t fully wear a suit at the dressing room of Forever 21 and I REALLY wanted to know what I looked like in it.

Forever the fashion victim,
Issa, puh-lease

I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to post these or any sets of photos that I’ve recently done over the year but these photos are waaay overdue.
A good friend on mine, Hub Pacheco and I, decided to meet up in Manila while I was there for my Chicken, Pork, Adobo Christimas party. It was such a relief seeing a familiar face while I was there as I was definitely outside of my comfort zone. Speaking of comfort zones, this shoot was also one of them.
I’m not fond of intimate shoots purely for the reason that it leaves the onlookers with nothing else to look at but myself. When you’re shooting an outfit photo, there are so many things that come into play- I make you look at a beautiful photo with beautiful backdrops and clothes to match. In a shoot like this, it’s just me and I honestly don’t know how I feel about that.
It also doesn’t help that I have gained about 20 lbs since these photos were taken.
But through weight gain and a slow road to self acceptance, I have learned that weight is something you can gain and lose as you please- self love and confidence is something you gain overtime and it’s not something that should come and go like your BMI. So I have always chosen to love myself because I owe myself THAT much and ykw, I do!
Also, wine makes me sleepy.
