Usually if I’m wearing tight pants I’d prefer to pair them with a loose top or if I do wear a tight top, I’ll pair it with a kimono or a cardigan. I am amazed by kids who can manage to pull off a crop top and Daisy Duke shorts because I don’t think I’d ever be able to. Maybe in another life.

In this case, I couldn’t keep myself from pairing these pants with a white cropped top (to balance out the hues) so I could really show off the details of these pants. Twas definitely a cold day but it was all worth it!

Shopping Made More Fun feat. ShopBack.ph

I love online shopping especially if it involves a discount voucher and a good deal. But if there’s anything better than a sale and not having to leave the comforts of my own home, it’s getting your money back after making a good purchase. Through ShopBack.phonline shopping just got a lot better by giving you the opportunity to actually earn your money back by shopping online!

As an online shopper, ShopBack.ph has been a great outlet for me to enjoy shopping and in fact, it has encouraged me to shop online even more! Plus, with their wide selection of online shops under their belt, it’s impossible to run out of places to shop at.

I recently signed up and here’s a quick review of my experience so far!

1

Signing up for ShopBack.ph is super simple and it’s something that I appreciate from a lot of online retailers nowadays. I hate having to remember numerous passwords for different accounts so by being able to log in with just my Facebook account makes everything so much easier. Plus you get P 150.00 sign up bonus which means more shopping money so yey!

What impressed me the most about ShopBack.ph was its wide selection of brands to shop at whether it was for fashion, travel, home, electronics and etc. It does not limit me from just shopping for clothes but instead, I can do all my online shopping here and guarantee some of my money back. Money that can be used to do more shopping or just in case I need a little extra for a rainy day.

If you’re going to shop, you should at least be shopping smart 😉

shopback

I did a little shopping at Zalora and within 4 hours, my cashback appeared on my ShopBack account! Not only am I a future proud owner of a pretty new romper from Zalora, but I also got P47.30 back from it! That’s what I call a fun shopping experience!

Make sure to check out ShopBack.ph during your next shopping trip! It’s super easy and fun to use and anyone who enjoys online shopping as much as I do is super to enjoy it!

Cool For The Summer

It’s FINALLY my time to enjoy the wonderful beaches of Cebu and spend the summer, even if I am a couple of months behind. Thankfully, Cebu is mostly sunny and the beaches are just a couple of hours away. On my side of the world, summers come a little later and are occasionally accompanied by rain showers but still lots of fun. I think I’ve mentioned it before but summer’s are our busiest season business-wise which should pretty much explain itself. Nevertheless, my bikini shopping has always been on time and as you have and will see in my next posts to come, I have stocked up on this seasons’ bikini craze: the neoprene bikini.

Neoprene, which was initially only used on wet suits, is made out of a thicker material as compared to your everyday spandex bikinis. They first became popular when Triangl came out with their collection of neoprene bikinis and they have been a big thing “fashion wise” ever since. Honestly, I could never imagine myself splurging P5,000.00 on a bikini so I did what every other thrift ass woman would do and I bought a knock off. It did feel a bit flimsier as compared to the original one but as long as it wasn’t ripping at the seams, then I didn’t really mind.

If you haven’t bought a neoprene bikini yet and you’re thinking about getting one for yourself, here are a few tips that I have for you:

2015_0813_00025600

Make sure to fit your bikini. Especially the bottoms.

Neoprene isn’t a very graceful material and it kind of makes it own rules. It’s important to fit the bottoms to make sure it covers what it needs to cover, if you know what I mean. I opted to just wear my neoprene top and skip the neoprene bottoms for….  that exact reason.

2015_0813_00025300

Dry your neoprene bikini ASAP and do not leave it in a wet bag for long periods of time.

So in case you’re wondering, I was the fool who left her bikini in a wet bag for 3 days- my bad. In the midst of my crazy life, I made the mistake of forgetting to remove my bikini from my bikini bag thus causing the glue to seep out. If you scroll down, you’ll see a few weird blotches because of it. Don’t make the same mistakes, friends. Just don’t.

2015_0813_00022700

Expect to sweat.

Neoprene is also quite hot to wear. Air doesn’t really get through your bikini so do expect some dew-ing in some places like your boobs and butt. Of course, this shouldn’t bother you when you’re in the water.

2015_0813_00010500

Explore the designs.

There aren’t a lot of designs to choose from when it comes to the neoprene designs, it’s mostly a play of colors than cuts and what not which is still pretty cool. If you’re a busty girl like me, the halter designs are amazing and will keep whatever needs to be kept in place. The bandeau tops are also pretty good and they hold better than spandex bikinis but don’t expect to be able to do a lot of jumping or playing around in it. Bikini tops with an under wire are also a great option especially if you want to show off your hooha’s. If you’ve got it, flaunt it.

The Monastery feat. Jing Pascual Photography

Sharing my second set of photos from my adventure at The Monastery but this time with Jing Pascual. I previously shared Jong Ong’s set here and soon enough, I will be showing you my last and final feature about this amazing place.

//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js11703083_10152886446826326_5607102793092200569_n Finding the right backdrop for my photos is always an integral process to my more creative photo shoots. I always find myself keeping an eye open for interesting places that allow me to relay a story or that complement personality through the clothes that I am wearing.

At the Monastery, I was able to do just that. With their laid back, cool ambiance and spots for great photo ops; I was able to play out the story of a young lady who isn’t exactly fully grown up but didn’t want to be treated like a kid either. Obviously, me. I’m floating in between those two realms but between all this uncertainty, I’m pretty sure that I wanted to have a good time.

Thankfully, Bree Esplanada was there to my rescue and helped me portray these characters through his awesome designs, as well.

Kiss & Make Up Make- Up Workshop This August, 2015

Being a fashion blogger, it’s important that I’m not only “on fleek” with my outfits but with my make up as well. I always try to stay on top of my make up game by trying out different products and watching tons and tooons of make up tutorials but honestly, nothing beats the real thing.

This August 23, 2015 (Sunday) at Cafe Laguna, Ayala Center Cebu from 1:00- 5:00 PM, get the chance to sit down and get trained by B Delgado (@itsbdelgado) and Eunice Enrera (@euniceenrera_mua), both very skilled make up professionals from different parts of the world.

kiss and make up hi res

A few days ago, I was able to meet Eunice where she did my make up for commercial we were shooting. We were totally on the same level on things so I’m pretty sure this event is going to be fun and educational… but mostly fun. 😉

Here are some of the photos of the make up she did:

DSCF2450   DSCF2454

I’m so excited to hang out, meet new friends and learn a bunch of new make up techniques! What I’m looking forward to the most is learning how to contour properly (God knows I need to learn THAT) and strobing. Honestly, I don’t know much about it other than it’s supposed to involve playing with light so I’m super excited to find out more about it!

Back To My Roots

2015_0729_22121000

2015_0729_22081900

My style will always be something that surprises me. Over the past months, I truly thought that my tomboy dressing was a thing of the past and that I could live a productive young adult life in heels and pastel garments- apparently, I was wrong. But I can’t say I didn’t try, guys!

Lately, I’m finding myself dressing more like the old me which is in anything and everything dark, layered and manlike. I think it has to do with my hair… My hair which I wish would grow back so badly :'((

Whatever the reason is, the most important thing is that I am happy.

The Monastery, Cebu feat. John Ong Photography

What’s better than lounging around a snazzy concept themed restaurant (The Monastery) in one of Cebu’s most talented upcoming designer’s (Bree Esplanada) dresses while being shot by an expert behind the lens (John Ong)?

Well, if you’re me- nothing.

I was very lucky to be invited to shoot at The Monastery a couple of weeks ago- basing on the photos alone, I think you’ll understand why.

Photos and fashion greatly work hand in hand and in the world of fashion blogging, sometimes photos are everything. Luckily, our set wasn’t just a great place to take photos but it was also a great place to chill at when the shoot was done.

Rainy Daze Are Here Again

Hey everyone, hey!! It took me a while to finally decide to do this basically because I wasn’t sure if I was confident enough to venture into vlogging but I guess we’ll never really know unless we try, right? Yes. And I know this isn’t my best work but it can only get better from here, I promise!

I am so in love with these rain boots that I got as a gift last year but I always get funny stares from people when I take them out. A part of me thinks that the Philippines isn’t quite ready for them but a bigger part of me says that we just need to be taught how to wear them. Common Pinoy folk assume that rain boots are the magsasakas and there’s nothing wrong with that, I think we just haven’t embraced it’s full potential yet.

So here’s a quick video with my tips and tricks when wearing rain boots here in the Philippines! I hope you enjoy!

Bloggers Do It Better

2015_0708_00210000//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js
Blogging has been around for at least over a decade and like the sweater suggests, I do believe that there are some thing that bloggers are actually better at doing such as:

1. Disseminating information and sharing ideas to the world.

– Let’s be honest, whether it’s the latest gossip; world issues or just their innermost thoughts and ideas, bloggers are pretty good at getting the word around.//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js 2015_0708_00192300

 2. Making the real world look so boring.

– There’s a lot that goes on behind the cameras when it comes to blogging (not matter what genre it is)- like in this shoot, behind this camera is a pig sty but a bloggers gotta do what a bloggers gotta do. Plus, angles. Don’t worry, I cleaned up afterwards.

2015_0708_00255900

 3. Taking awesome photos or at least, conceptualizing them.

-Two words: Flat lay

2015_0708_00274500

4. Excellent time management skills

– A job, a sideline business to support our camera/ clothes/ dining needs, events and still managing to consistently blog while managing to keep a personal life with friends and family? Piece of cake!

2015_0708_00302100

  5. Putting ourselves out there and being thick skinned

– We get ridiculed and teased a lot but it’s all good. We’re proud of our craft and we don’t need any one else’s approval.

2015_0708_00312800

6. Self learning internet skills

I’m pretty sure I’m not the only blogger who’s self taught myself how to use and actually understand certain html and css codes. It’s cheaper than having to pay someone to do it and there is absolutely nothing can come in the way of our ideal layout dreams!

And more!

Toniq Juice Party

1432641560749

So happy to be back blogging! I had to take a short hiatus on account of Paolo’s short trip to the hospital but no worries, we’re alive; kicking and better than ever!

This week taught me a lot about the importance of having a healthier lifestyle especially with Paolo being diagnosed with Enteric Colitis which was definitely not easy to have to watch him endure. And now that I’m fully committed to providing him with the healthiest meals in accordance to his new non spicy, non dairy, non oily diet; I am so glad that Toniq Juice is around to help me pack Paolo with all the healthy stuff he needs!

1432641605928

Toniq believes that health is a lifestyle and not just a mere diet- it’s the right mixture of proper consumption of food, exercise and getting proper amounts of rest.

With the many products and services under this brand, a healthier and better version of yourself can easily be attained. I noticed that everyone’s been so into juicing nowadays and it’s refreshing to find that at Toniq, they have more to offer such as salad jars, healthy snacks and my favorites- the popsicles and sorbets!

Being healthy has never been this fun!
