The Wall (And Other MYOH Pictures)

As you’ve all heard me say a couple of hundred times already, I was part of this years Make Your Own Havaianas at the SM Northwing last July 18- 21, 2013.

I’ve also mentioned being assigned at the Interactive Zone of the set up which was basically an area where everyone was encouraged to let their imaginations run wild.

Here are some of my favorite shots:

Make Your Own Havaianas 2013 (From the working lines)

Hey everyone, I know it’s supposed to be a #throwbackthursday today but I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to blog about my experience at the Make Your Own Havaianas 2013 event (aka #MYOH13) especially since I’m not just a regular walk-in customer!

This year I applied to be a part of the MYOH13 team and by the looks of it, I was lucky enough to get hired!

Here are pictures of me assembling my very own pair of Havaianas slippers complete with this years’ pins. And believe me, the best part of it wasn’t picking out my design- it’s getting to keep the slippers I designed. Yey!

I got assigned at the Interactive Zone where my partner and I man the “freedom wall” and the “yarn wall” (for the lack of a better term). Most of the time, we’re pretty much busy capping permanent markers, getting ink on our hands and helping out customers.

Keep posted, I have a very special dedication for this wall ๐Ÿ˜‰

This years special edition design by Filipino Graphic Designer, Dan Matutina (aka twistedfork).

These pair are the first commemorative glow-in-the-dark slippers for Make Your Own Havaianas and since they areย special edition,ย they will only be available during the event.

These babies are selling like hot pancakes and I must say, they look super cute with a lime green/ fuschia strap ๐Ÿ˜‰

Last Wednesday was the Media launching of Make Your Own Havaianas 2013 and we definitely celebrated with a bang. We had a lot of guests over, media and fun performances from street magicians, stilt walkers, ย balloon formers, etc. and trying to stay true to this years theme: “Imagination”

Btw, there was food. And LOOOTS of it!

We only got to tast the large hot air balloon cake and although I’m not a lot to have sweets, I’d still say it was the best cake I have ever had! Now I have to find out who made it @.@

We are located at the SM Northwing from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm starting today (Wednesday) until Sunday.

Price ranges from P845.00 up.

We also accept Mastercard and Visa credit cards.

Suggested times to go: lunch time and afternoons around 4:00 ๐Ÿ˜‰

See you guys there!

Issa

In A Nutshell

Hi I’m Issa. And before I get your hopes up, I’m 4’11 1/2 which totally makes me 5 feet tall, right?

I know it’s not a Thursday but I’m throwing it back anyways.

I’ve been blogging about fashion for about 3 years now and above are just a few of my hits or misses.

I love fashion and I wish I could be fashionable all the time. Even in my undies.

Welcome to my site.

ENJOY! And be kind! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi! Like, For The NTH Time. Seriously!!

If you’ve followed me from the very beginning of this blogging journey, you would be aware that I’ve switched platforms and url names like it was my job. (Seriously though) It’s like this compulsive need to change. God, I don’t know.

But hopefully, HOPEFULLY, that’ll all change now.

See I never really felt like a “littleblacksheepfashion” or a “thejeanlouise” before but since I’ve been issaplease, everything’s just been really great.

So I am proud to announce my new and OFFICIAL blog site:

I feel like a pro! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hello from the not so sick Cody who ALSO welcomes you to this blog.

LOVE YOU ALL! :*

When It Rains, Dress Like It’s Snowing

[Brown sweater: Thrifted; Necklace: Gift; Leggings: ISIS; Leg warmers: H&M; Beanie: H&M]

[Apple green sweater: Thirfted; Scarf: WAGW; Boots: Leaveland; Bag: Thrifted]

Took the day off from work cuz my Mitral Valve Prolapse was acting up again and I was having a bad headache. Luckily, it was raining and Iโ€™ve been dying to take my leg warmers out again. So, what do you do when youโ€™re home and sick and itโ€™s raining outside? HAVE A BEDROOM SHOOT. Of course, I used my laptop camera cuz Iโ€™m low tech like that.

Hello, from my feet and my legwarmers that I wasn’t wearing properly. lol

I swear I was born on the wrong side of the earth. I need snow!

Something New

Hello and welcomeย to my newest blog. I have been known as The Little Black Sheep, Aa_BeBe_pHaT_, Thejeanlouise, The little sarcastic girl and what not to many of you. But this time, I’m just going to be me-ย Issa.

If you may not know this, I have just come back from a blogging hiatus (as seen on my last entry) in order to set aside time aside for more important things such as studying for my board exams, settling down and getting ย used to living on my own, etc.
In the two months that I was gone, I frequently dreamed of the day that I would be able to blog again. Often times, I wondered what kind of blogger I would become when I made my comeback.ย “Will I blog about high end fashion?”, “Will I exploit my most inner thoughts and feelings?”-ย in short, the real question was alwaysย “What kind of blogger should I be?”ย
In retrospect,ย I guess these last months have been about finding myself. And although, I haven’t quite found me yet- I think that I am better than ever. I’ve allowed myself to make mistakes & fix them, I went out without caring about what I wore & didn’t feel bad about it, I allowed myself to love unconditionally and well,ย I have lived and I have chosen to continue living.
I don’t want to become one of those bloggers who can’t leave the house without a decent look on because there are going to be days when I won’t give a f*ck. There will be days that I won’t want to brush my hair or tuck in my top and I think that I deserve that. And I know that all of you will understand that as well.
I won’t be the girl with the flashy outfits, the midrib tops, butt-short shorts, designer labels either because one, my boyfriend will not allow it and two, designer labels? I cannot afford it. But I will be the girl who is honest, and vulnerable. I won’t always make the best fashion choices but then again, who does? And isn’t this why we love fashion to begin with? Because it doesn’t always have to be right, or matchy, or expensive, or neat- it just has to be about us. And I can sleep soundly at that thought.
So if you wanted to know what kind of blogger I am going to be- Theย onlyย answer is, “I am going to be me.” [I am soo sorry that this rhymes!]
But anyways, here’s what you missed in the past two months:
ย
Took my board exams
Spent time with good ย friends
Lasted
Aged.
So, I hope you stick around for a lot of ramblings, random epiphanies, sloppy dressing and a whole lot ofย awesomeness!
ย
