This is how a typical conversation goes whenever I get compliments about my hair. The Philippines is a pretty conservative country and you’d be surprised at how something as little as hair can have a big impact on how people perceive you (believe me, I’ve had my fair share of hair prejudices). But with everyone sporting bright, crazy colored hair, no one can blame you for having the urge to bleach your hair dead and color it say… blue or purple, fuchsia, red, teal and magenta. Yes, those are the colors on my head, people. Plus grey and God knows what else.
